The singer reveals suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after 22 of her fans were killed by a suicide bomber at her gig.
The pop star told British Vogue that she does not think she will ever be able to talk about the attack without crying. Fans at her concert on 22 May last year were targeted by a suicide bomber who detonated an explosive device in the arena’s foyer, killing 22 people. Shortly after, the singer posted on Twitter that she was “broken” and “so so sorry”.

Ariana Grande said she had found her PTSD “hard to talk about” as “so many people have suffered such severe, tremendous loss”. She said:
“I know those families and my fans, and everyone there experienced a tremendous amount of it as well. Time is the biggest thing. I feel like I shouldn’t even be talking about my own experience – like I shouldn’t even say anything. I don’t think I’ll ever know how to talk about it and not cry.”
The 24-year-old features on the cover of the July 2018 issue of Vogue, with blonde hair and wearing minimal make-up.
Last month she shared a new tattoo in tribute to the victims of the attack – a bee inked behind her left ear. The worker bee symbolises Manchester’s industrial past, and was also featured at the end of Grande’s music video for her recent single, ‘No Tears Left to Cry‘.
