Mo’Nique isn’t finished taking aim at Oprah Winfrey. On social media, the Oscar Award winning actress and comedian compared the media mogul to fake jewelry.
For the past few months, Mo’Nique has launched a Boycott Netflix campaign, which also includes her unfiltered thoughts about Oprah, Lee Daniels and Will Packer. Mo’Nique’s issue with Oprah stem from years ago, while Oprah’s popular talk show was still on air.
Mo’Nique says that Oprah’s decision to have her brother Gerald (whom she claims molested her as child), her mother and her alcoholic father on her show, is the reason why she has serious issues with Oprah. She says that Oprah called her before the show aired to say that her brother was scheduled to appear on the show. At the time, Mo’Nique says that she warned Oprah not to bring on the show.
Mo’Nique says that Oprah didn’t inform her that her parents would be on the show, along with her brother. She says that she was blindsided that Oprah would not only have her brother on her show, but also have her parents on her show. After the episode aired, Oprah called Mo’Nique. She says that Oprah did not apologize and that she [Mo’Nique] failed to tell Oprah about how upset she was about their appearance.
This week, Oprah Winfrey is making all the stops to promote the upcoming film, A Wrinkle In Time. During one of the visits on her press tour however, the actress discussed the ongoing controversy between her and Mo’Nique and dropped some life lessons that we all should live by. But all that aside, it looks like Oprah has wiped her hands of the bad vibes. She said:
“You can’t meet negative energy where it is, you have to rise above it, you have to transcend it. You have to be the light. It only takes a little bit of light to banish the darkness, it takes a lot of darkness to overcome the light,”
Oprah added:
“It takes just a little bit of light and we are warriors of the light. I would never stoop to try to meet somebody where they are negatively. Don’t care who they are.”

Mo’Nique caught wind of a Global Grind interview (via Blogxilla), where Oprah commented on the comedian’s criticism. Mo’Nique responded to Oprah’s comments, stating:
