If LeBron James has 99 problems, money definitely isn’t one!
Congratulations are in order to basketball star LeBron James, 37, who has found himself on the list of American billionaires, according to Forbes. He is the first active NBA player to become a billionaire. He reached this huge milestone after making a reported $121.2 million in 2021.
LeBron James now joins Michael Jordan, 59, as the only other previous NBA player to bring in that amount of money. However, Michael Jordan didn’t achieve a ten-figure net worth until 2014, more than a decade after he retired. Reportedly, LeBron James has brought in a whopping $387 million on the court, but the majority of his money has come from his business deals outside of the arena.
His entertainment company, James and Maverick Carter’s SpringHill Entertainment, is worth a reported $300 million, his stake in Fenway Sports Group is worth $90 million and his 10% share of the Blaze Pizza brand has grown to $30 million. In addition to that, he also has a lifetime contract with Nike. Congratulations again to LeBron James!
